Ciao, Pisa: First Impressions Matter

How do you turn a player’s arrival at a new club into something that goes far beyond the ordinary? That was the challenge we faced when we learned that centre-back Mateus Lusuardi was about to be announced as a new signing for Pisa Sporting Club, a team that returned to Italy’s top flight in 2025 after 34 years.
After thorough research, we identified the perfect opportunity for Lusuardi to make a strong first impression on day one: a photo shoot produced by LIGA, featuring Mateus — on vacation in Brazil — wearing an elegant retro Pisa jersey from the 1986/87 season, recently relaunched through a collaboration between the Italian club and COPA Football.
Once the best images were selected, the next step was to engage Pisa’s communication team. They loved the result and immediately agreed to publish a collaborative post with the newly announced Mateus Lusuardi. “Ciao, Pisa.” With a simple message, the Brazilian made an instant impact, expressing both his happiness and his respect for the club’s history — now his new home in Serie A.
